As we head towards the shortest day and the prospect of the sun returning for longer days to come, we look forward to a few days off. Before we close the laptops and turn off the coffee machine, I would like to say a few words in reflection of the last year and to share some of our plans for the coming year.
A Busy Year
The year began with the merger of Necora Systems and Fastroi, and during the past year we have continued to harmonize our operations. We also embarked upon a statistical exercise to understand the UK market better. So we took a look at the data on residential and domiciliary care organisations compiled by the CQC. It is an amazing resource not just for people looking to use the services and the service providers themselves but for us as a technology provider it gave us a fascinating insight into the issues that care organisations face. The quality of the data prompted us to write a white paper on our findings. The latest State of Care report from the CQC was released in October and it has provided us with more clarity on some of the issues that residential and domiciliary care companies are facing. These insights give us the motivation to continue our journey into the UK markets. In addition to this, our customer’s feedback in Finland gives us the confidence that our product really can make a difference on the global market.
Customer satisfaction surveys, development of our products and operations
Once again we made our annual customer satisfaction for our customers this year. We received almost 1,000 answers. We were able to put forward several development proposals for our product development teams and we will continue to pay attention to serving you better in the years to come. We will also be organising more webinars and in addition we are building a digital learning platform for our customers so that the features and best practices of our products can be studied in the future at a convenient time via the web. On-the-job training will continue to be part of our range of services. In the coming year, we will also invest heavily in improving customer service and quality of our services.
Time to Celebrate
2018 was also a year of celebration for us as we reached our 15th anniversary. We were able to celebrate this anniversary with our customers and partners at several events throughout the year as well as at several trade shows during the Autumn. We would like to extend our warm thanks to all Real-Time Care customers, our staff and our partners! We have over 60 team members and our headcount will continue to grow in the coming year.
This year, we have also established a subsidiary in the UK and opened our first overseas office. We have offices in Joensuu, Tampere, Vantaa and Lancashire (UK).
Service Design, ISO 27001 Certification and Review by 2019
During 2019, we will focus on developing our products and internal processes through service design methods. We will organise workshops with several of our clients in order to focus on the work and processes of social welfare. For this we have opened new communication channels that are used by our customers as well as our product managers. In the coming year, both the Health Care and Social Services Services will be the focus of our development work. The first launches of the Kanta archives production will take place in early 2019.
We will continue to invest heavily in the security of our operations. As a result, Fastroi is preparing for ISO 27001 certification in 2019. In today’s world, business customers, partners and other partners want to ensure that digital service providers do not pose any risks to their security. We want to create the most secure business environment we can for the benefit of our business, our customers and the individuals who use our product.
The future of Fastroi looks bright and we expect our business to continue with the grow as in previous years. We have also made significant progress this year and we hope that you will continue to be active in communicating with us. The feedback you provide helps us develop the overall service, both for the product itself and for other ancillary services.
So now all that is left for me is to wish all of our employees, customers and partners in Finland and the UK a very Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year.
