Fastroi wins 12-million-euro contract with key ICT provider in Finland

Fastroi has been selected to provide care management software for Tiera and its new Helmi Service. The contract is a result of a successful collaboration during which Fastroi and Tiera have provided digital solutions for health and social care services in hundreds of cities and municipalities in Finland. Thanks to the new contract, the use of Fastroi’s Hilkka solution will increase in the social welfare sector.

Tiera is a service company owned by 390 municipalities, cities and wellbeing services counties in Finland and it develops ICT services for the municipal sector. Fastroi’s co-operation with Kuntien Tiera has lasted for nearly a decade and the new contract will boost it even further.

” This is remarkable news for us, we are delighted to continue and expand our collaboration with Tiera. Together we look forward to supporting the health and social service orgnisations by providing them time saving and user-friendly digital systems,” says Risto Jalovaara, Managing Director of Fastroi.

Fastroi’s Hilkka software has been developed to suit the rapidly changing needs of a wide range of social services, including domiciliary services, health and adult care services as well as reablement services. The digital solution complies with tight security standards within the health care and social sector.

“ We are very happy to continue our collaboration with Fastroi”, says Kati Penttilä, Business Director of Tiera Wellbeing Services. “I believe we can genuinely provide added value for our clients with our new Helmi Service.”

Currently Fastroi provides Real-Time Care system to four Councils in the UK, and the Hilkka system via Tiera to 100 counties and cities in Finland. The number of users is expected to rise notably as the new Wellbeing Services Counties start their work at the beginning of 2023. This will open up new possibilities for Tiera to provide its services to the third sector organisations, such as associations and foundations.

”We are excited to have this opportunity to provide solutions with Tiera for the wellbeing services counties and the third sector, and help them improve the quality of their services and reduce costs,” Risto Jalovaara states.

Tiera opened a public procurement competition for its mobile domiciliary care system at the end of 2021. The procurement focused on the needs of new Wellbeing Services Counties established as a result of the national reform of healthcare, social welfare and rescue services. Updated performance and operational reliability criteria and SLA criteria corresponding to today’s requirements were also among the requirements.
